We are pleased to announce that the funding agreement between The University of Western Australia and Rio Tinto will, in part, fund the full-time position of Sarah de Koning as the CRAR+M Database Manager.
The CRAR+M Database houses all collections made by research projects within Western Australia and further. This collection is administrated by collaboration agreements with partner Aboriginal organisations to ensure cultural safety.
Sarah's role is to maintain the CRAR+M Database, assist in rock art recording, develop rock art recording apps, and train students, staff and community members.
Sarah's background is in the rock art of Murujuga where she first joined us as a student on the joint Rio Tinto - Murujuga Aboriginal Corporation rock art field school.
